Winctrl (formerly Winwing) has announced a new version of its FCU panel, featuring a brighter OLED display, USB-C connectivity, and an integrated standby instrument. The hardware is designed for both MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 12.
Winctrl, the brand formerly known as Winwing, has introduced a refreshed version of its Airbus FCU (Flight Control Unit) panel. The updated hardware features a high-resolution OLED display with adjustable brightness, ensuring readability in all lighting conditions. The panel now connects via USB-C, offering faster data transfer and easier cable management. An integrated standby instrument (ISIS) provides backup attitude and airspeed data, making it a more self-contained unit for cockpit builders.
The FCU is fully compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and X-Plane 12, with native support for the Fenix A320 and ToLiss aircraft. The knobs and buttons have been redesigned with a more tactile feel, and the internal electronics have been upgraded for improved resolution. Winctrl is also releasing a companion EFIS panel, which can be paired to create a realistic glareshield setup.
At $199, the FCU is positioned as a mid-range option for simmers seeking high fidelity without breaking the bank. Early reviews have praised the build quality and the accuracy of the button layout compared to the real Airbus. Winctrl also announced that it is working on a new overhead panel, expected to ship later this year. With these releases, Winctrl continues to challenge established brands like Skalarki and CockpitPhD in the home cockpit market.
