Winctrl (formerly Winwing) has announced a new FCU panel for Airbus simulators, featuring a 4.3-inch LCD that displays FMS data and autopilot modes. The unit integrates with MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 12 via plug-and-play USB.

Winctrl, the rebranded company formerly known as Winwing, has lifted the veil on its latest hardware offering: a next-generation Flight Control Unit (FCU) designed for Airbus A320 and A330 home cockpits. The standout feature is a 4.3-inch high-resolution LCD that can be configured to display PFD-like data, FMS pages, or even Navigraph charts, reducing the need for external tablets.

The FCU includes machined aluminum knobs with detents that mimic the real aircraft's tactile feel, and it communicates with the simulator via a single USB-C connection. Winctrl has confirmed native support for MSFS 2024's new glass cockpit API and X-Plane 12's experimental flight model, ensuring accurate SPD/HDG/V/S mode engagement.

Pre-orders open on September 1, with early-bird pricing set at $299. The unit is compatible with existing Winctrl throttle quadrants and overhead panels, and a version for Boeing 737 MAX is in development. Cockpit builders will appreciate the included mounting bracket that fits standard 60mm yoke columns.

This release comes as Winctrl expands its lineup after the 2024 rebrand, aiming squarely at the high-fidelity hardware market. For those building a home Airbus sim, this FCU could be the centerpiece of a professional-grade setup.
