Winctrl (formerly Winwing) has announced its latest replica cockpit hardware: an Airbus Flight Control Unit with OLED displays and motorized knobs. The FCU is designed for both A320 and A330 series and integrates with MSFS and X-Plane.
Winctrl, the rebranded high-fidelity hardware manufacturer formerly known as Winwing, has unveiled its new Airbus FCU (Flight Control Unit) replica. The unit features OLED displays for the autopilot settings, a significant upgrade over traditional LCD screens, providing sharper text and better visibility. The knobs are servo-motorized, allowing them to be automatically moved by the sim to reflect changes made via the FMS or ATC.
The FCU is compatible with the Airbus A320 family and the upcoming A330, with modes that can be toggled to match the aircraft's layout. It connects via USB and includes a dedicated software suite for mapping functions across MSFS 2024, MSFS 2020, and X-Plane 12. The build quality is typical of Winctrl, with metal housing and tactile switches that replicate the real unit.
This release follows Winctrl's recent expansion into the Airbus lineup, which has included overhead panels and throttle quadrants. The FCU is expected to ship in Q1 2027, with pre-orders opening later this month. Pricing has not been announced, but based on previous products, it is likely to be competitive with Skalarki and CockpitPhD offerings.
For cockpit builders, the ability to have motorized knobs that sync with the sim adds a new level of immersion, reducing the need to manually adjust settings when flying under ATC guidance.
