Winctrl (formerly Winwing) has announced its new A320 FCU panel, featuring realistic haptic feedback, backlit buttons, and full compatibility with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and X-Plane 12. The panel aims to provide a tactile experience for Airbus enthusiasts.

Winctrl, the hardware manufacturer formerly known as Winwing, has unveiled its latest product: a high-fidelity Airbus A320 Flight Control Unit (FCU) panel. Designed for serious simmers, the FCU features realistic haptic feedback on the rotary knobs, backlit buttons, and a sturdy metal construction. It connects via USB and is plug-and-play compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, X-Plane 12, and Prepar3D. The panel replicates the layout of the real A320 FCU, including the speed, heading, altitude, and vertical speed selectors, as well as the autopilot engagement buttons.

The haptic feedback is a standout feature, providing detents and resistance that mimic the real aircraft's controls. The backlighting is adjustable and can be synchronized with the sim's cockpit lighting. Winctrl has also included a set of configurable buttons for additional functions, such as baro set and metric altitude. The FCU is expected to ship in Q4 2026, with a price point around $499. Pre-orders will open next month.

For Airbus fans, this FCU represents a significant upgrade over generic throttle quadrants. It allows for more immersive interaction with the A320's autoflight system, particularly during complex departures and arrivals. Winctrl's move to rebrand and expand its product line demonstrates its commitment to the flight simulation market. The FCU is compatible with popular add-ons like the Fenix A320 and FlyByWire A32NX, making it a versatile addition to any cockpit. Stay tuned for our full review.
