Winctrl (formerly Winwing) has announced the A320 Pro FCU, featuring haptic feedback on rotary knobs and a capacitive touch panel for Airbus A320 family aircraft. The unit aims to enhance realism for both MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 12 with native support and SDK integration.
Winctrl, the rebranded hardware manufacturer formerly known as Winwing, has officially announced its latest high-fidelity replica cockpit hardware: the A320 Pro FCU (Flight Control Unit). Designed for Airbus A320 family enthusiasts, the unit boasts an array of features aimed at bridging the gap between consumer hardware and full-flight-simulator components. The most notable addition is a haptic feedback system integrated into the rotary knobs for heading, altitude, speed, and vertical speed, providing tactile detents that mimic the real aircraft's tactile response. Additionally, the FCU incorporates a capacitive touch panel for the autopilot's push-button functions, offering a sleek, modern interface that reduces mechanical wear.
The A320 Pro FCU is constructed from a mix of aviation-grade aluminum and high-durability polycarbonate, with backlit buttons and a glare-resistant display for the flight director and autothrust status. It connects via USB-C and includes native drivers for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and X-Plane 12, with support for the FlyByWire Simulations A320neo and iniBuilds A320neo. Winctrl has also released an SDK for third-party developers, allowing integration with complex add-ons like the Fenix Simulations A320 and ToLiss A320.
According to Winctrl, the A320 Pro FCU will begin shipping in Q4 2026, with pre-orders opening on October 1st. Pricing is set at $799.99 USD, positioning it competitively against offerings from Skalarki and CockpitPhD. The unit is expected to be a game-changer for home cockpit builders seeking an authentic Airbus experience, particularly for those flying online on VATSIM or IVAO where precise autopilot inputs are critical. A full review will follow once units are available.
