Winctrl, formerly Winwing, has unveiled a direct-drive force feedback yoke with 12-bit magnetic sensors and native MSFS 2024 support. It promises realistic control loading and stall buffet cues.

Winctrl, the hardware brand formerly known as Winwing, has announced its first force feedback yoke, the FFY-1, targeting serious simmers on MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 12. The unit uses a direct-drive brushless motor with 12-bit magnetic encoders on both axes, and Winctrl claims it can simulate control loading from a Cessna 172 up to a Boeing 737 with adjustable force curves.

The key feature is native telemetry integration. Rather than relying on generic force feedback effects, the FFY-1 reads sim variables directly — control surface position, airspeed, and AoA — to generate realistic control pressures. In MSFS 2024, this means you'll feel the elevator stiffen as you accelerate through VMO, and the ailerons will lighten as you slow on approach. Stall buffet is modeled as a high-frequency oscillation, which Winctrl says is tuned to match the real aircraft's pre-stall warning.

The yoke itself is a 737-style column with a metal body and rubberized grips. It ships with a desk clamp and a separate control box with USB-C and a pass-through for rudder pedals. Winctrl is also offering a helicopter collective adapter as an optional extra.

Pricing is set at €899, with first shipments expected in November 2026. Pre-orders open next week. For cockpit builders, this is a significant alternative to the Brunner CLS-E, at a lower price point.
