Winctrl (formerly Winwing) has announced its new Airbus A320 Flight Control Unit panel, featuring realistic haptic feedback and full compatibility with MSFS and X-Plane. The unit is now available for pre-order.
Winctrl, the hardware manufacturer formerly known as Winwing, has unveiled its latest product: a high-fidelity Airbus A320 Flight Control Unit (FCU) panel designed for serious simmers. The panel replicates the FCU found in the A320 family, including the speed, heading, altitude, and vertical speed controls, as well as the autopilot pushbuttons. What sets it apart is the integration of haptic feedback, which simulates the detents and button presses of the real unit.
The FCU connects via USB and is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/2024 and X-Plane 12, thanks to native support from popular aircraft add-ons such as the Fenix A320 and ToLiss A320. Winctrl has also released a configuration tool that allows users to map custom functions and adjust the haptic intensity. The unit features backlit buttons and a realistic LED display that mirrors the aircraft's actual readouts.
According to Winctrl, the FCU is built with an aluminum chassis and uses optical encoders for precise input. The haptic feedback is achieved through a combination of solenoids and software-driven effects, providing tactile response when rotating knobs or pressing buttons. The company claims the unit has been tested extensively with real-world Airbus pilots to ensure accuracy.
The Winctrl A320 FCU is available for pre-order at $499.99, with shipping expected in December 2026. This release underscores Winctrl's commitment to the high-end cockpit builder market, following its rebranding earlier this year. For those looking to enhance their Airbus experience, this FCU promises a new level of immersion.
