Winctrl has announced its new A320 throttle quadrant, featuring realistic detents, auto-throttle servo control, and a built-in FMS interface. The unit is designed for Airbus enthusiasts and integrates seamlessly with MSFS and X-Plane 12.
Winctrl, the rebranded hardware manufacturer formerly known as Winwing, has unveiled its latest product: a high-fidelity Airbus A320 throttle quadrant. This unit is designed to replicate the feel and functionality of the real A320's throttle assembly, complete with the distinctive detents for CL, FLX/MCT, TO/GA, and reverse. The throttle levers are motorized, providing auto-throttle feedback that moves the levers in response to the aircraft's systems. This is a significant step up from passive throttles, offering a new level of immersion for Airbus pilots.
The quadrant also includes a built-in FMS interface with a small OLED display, allowing pilots to input data without using the mouse. It connects via USB and is compatible with MSFS 2020/2024, X-Plane 12, and Prepar3D. Winctrl has developed a dedicated driver that supports the Fenix A320 and FlyByWire A32NX, with plans to add support for ToLiss and FlightFactor in the future. The unit is constructed from metal and high-quality plastics, with a realistic throttle lever shape and feel.
In addition to the throttle, Winctrl is offering an optional add-on module for the A320's flap and speedbrake levers, which can be attached to the left side of the quadrant. This module also features motorized feedback for the speedbrake's arming and ground spoiler deployment. The base quadrant is priced at $499, while the add-on module is $199. Pre-orders start on October 15, with shipping expected in December.
Winctrl's move to motorized throttles is a direct response to competitor Thrustmaster's successful A320 throttle quadrant, which lacks motorization. By adding this feature, Winctrl hopes to attract serious Airbus simmers who demand the highest fidelity. Early hands-on reports from FSExpo 2026 suggest the motorized detents feel convincing, though some testers noted the motors can be audible in quiet moments. We look forward to a full review.
