Winctrl has announced a new Airbus A320 FCU and throttle quadrant, featuring realistic backlit buttons, motorized throttle levers, and full compatibility with MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 12. The hardware is expected to ship in Q1 2027.
Winctrl, the hardware manufacturer formerly known as Winwing, has announced its latest products aimed at Airbus enthusiasts: a detailed A320 FCU (Flight Control Unit) and a motorized throttle quadrant. The FCU replicates the look and feel of the real Airbus unit, with backlit buttons, rotary knobs with detents, and a bright LED display. It connects via USB and is compatible with MSFS 2024, X-Plane 12, and Prepar3D, using the company's own SimAppPro software for configuration.
The throttle quadrant is a significant step up from previous models, featuring motorized levers that automatically move according to the aircraft's autothrottle status. This provides a tactile feedback that enhances immersion, particularly during autoland and go-around scenarios. The quadrant also includes detents for CL, FLX, and TOGA, as well as reverser levers and a fuel cutoff switch. The unit is constructed from metal and high-quality plastics, with a sturdy base and adjustable friction.
Winctrl has stated that the FCU and throttle quadrant are designed to work seamlessly with popular A320 add-ons, including the Fenix Simulations A320 and the FlyByWire A32NX. The company has collaborated with these developers to ensure proper integration and functionality. The FCU is priced at $399.99, while the throttle quadrant is $499.99; a bundle will be available for $849.99.
Pre-orders will begin on November 15, 2026, with shipping expected in the first quarter of 2027. Winctrl has also announced that existing Winwing customers will receive a loyalty discount. The announcement has generated excitement in the community, with many praising the motorized throttle as a game-changer for Airbus simulation.
