Winctrl has announced a new Airbus A320 FCU and EFIS panel, designed for home cockpit builders. The hardware features backlit buttons, realistic rotary encoders, and plug-and-play compatibility with MSFS and X-Plane.

Winctrl, the hardware manufacturer formerly known as Winwing, has unveiled its latest product: a full-scale Airbus A320 Flight Control Unit (FCU) and EFIS panel. The unit is designed for serious cockpit builders and offers a high level of fidelity, with backlit buttons that match the real aircraft's annunciators, and rotary encoders for altitude, heading, speed, and vertical speed selection. The panel connects via USB and is plug-and-play compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator and X-Plane 12, using standard HID drivers.

The FCU includes all the functions of the real unit, including managed and selected modes, AP1/AP2 engagement, A/THR, and LOC/APP buttons. The EFIS panel provides controls for baro reference, minimums, and ND range, with a realistic baro knob that can be pushed for STD. The hardware is constructed from metal and high-quality plastics, with a tactile feel that Winctrl claims is indistinguishable from the real thing. The panel also features adjustable backlighting to match different cockpit lighting conditions.

Winctrl has not yet announced pricing or a release date, but a company representative stated that the FCU will be available in Q4 2026. The product will be showcased at FSExpo 2027 in Las Vegas. This announcement follows Winctrl's recent release of its Boeing 737 throttle quadrant and marks the company's continued expansion into Airbus hardware. Cockpit builders have praised the move, noting that until now, high-fidelity Airbus FCUs were only available from boutique manufacturers at much higher prices.
