Winctrl has launched the Orion 2 throttle quadrant, featuring force feedback technology and interchangeable detents. The unit is designed for airliner and fighter simulation and is compatible with MSFS 2024 and DCS World.

Winctrl, the rebranded hardware manufacturer formerly known as Winwing, has announced the Orion 2 throttle quadrant, a high-fidelity peripheral aimed at serious simmers. The Orion 2 introduces force feedback on the throttle levers, allowing users to feel detents, afterburner gates, and even aerodynamic forces. This is a first for consumer throttle quadrants and promises to enhance immersion in aircraft like the Fenix A320 and the Heatblur F-14 in DCS World.

The Orion 2 features dual throttle levers with adjustable friction and interchangeable detent plates for Airbus, Boeing, and fighter configurations. The unit also includes a row of programmable buttons, a slew control, and a built-in display for showing throttle position and engine parameters. Connectivity is via USB-C, and the throttle is compatible with Winctrl's SimAppPro software, which allows for detailed calibration and profile management. The force feedback is powered by a separate 24V power supply.

Pre-orders for the Orion 2 will open on October 20, 2026, with shipping expected in December. The price is set at $499.99, which includes one set of detent plates of the buyer's choice. Winctrl has also announced that existing Winwing customers will receive a 10% discount. The Orion 2 will be on display at FSExpo 2027 in Las Vegas.
