Winctrl (formerly Winwing) unveils a new Flight Control Unit (FCU) replica for the Airbus A320, featuring haptic feedback on rotary knobs, RGB backlighting, and plug-and-play compatibility with MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 12. Shipping begins in December.

Winctrl has announced its latest high-fidelity cockpit hardware: a 1:1 replica FCU panel for the Airbus A320 family. The unit features aluminum construction, backlit buttons with adjustable RGB lighting, and—most notably—haptic feedback on the HDG, ALT, and V/S knobs, providing tactile detents that mimic the real aircraft's rotary selectors. The FCU also includes a built-in OLED display for speed, heading, altitude, and vertical speed, with the same font and layout as the A320's primary flight display.

The panel connects via USB-C and is plug-and-play compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, X-Plane 12, and Prepar3D. Winctrl has collaborated with iniBuilds and Fenix Simulations to ensure native support for their A320 products, including full integration with the Fenix's custom FMS and the iniBuilds A320neo. The FCU also supports the FlyByWire A32NX via a community driver. The haptic feedback is configurable, allowing users to adjust the intensity or disable it entirely.

Pricing is set at $299.99, with pre-orders opening on November 1st and shipping expected in mid-December. Winctrl is also offering a bundle with its upcoming sidestick and throttle quadrant at a discounted price. For those building a home cockpit, this FCU represents a significant step up from previous offerings, with a build quality that rivals more expensive competitors. The company has stated that a Boeing 737 MCP variant will follow in early 2027.
