ToLiss has released version 2.0 of its Airbus A340-600 for X-Plane 12, introducing a new custom weather radar, improved flight director logic, and enhanced failure simulation. The update is available free to existing customers.
ToLiss Simulations has rolled out a major update for its Airbus A340-600, version 2.0, designed to take full advantage of X-Plane 12's capabilities. The headline feature is a fully custom weather radar with realistic color palettes and sensitivity, tied to XP12's weather engine. Pilots can now observe storm cells and precipitation patterns with greater accuracy, enhancing situational awareness during convective weather operations.
The update also refines the flight director logic to match real Airbus behavior more closely, particularly during non-normal operations. The failure simulation system has been expanded with additional malfunctions, including engine surge and rudder limiter failures, which can be triggered via the ISCS (Integrated Standby Control System). The aircraft's FMS has received performance database updates and improved VNAV guidance for continuous descent operations.
ToLiss has also optimized the aircraft's systems to reduce CPU load, addressing performance concerns on lower-end systems. The visual model has been enhanced with new cockpit textures and improved exterior lighting, including landing lights that illuminate the runway more realistically. Existing owners can download the update via the ToLiss updater, and new customers can purchase the A340-600 for $89.00. This release reinforces ToLiss's reputation for deep systems fidelity, making it a must-have for serious long-haul enthusiasts in X-Plane 12.
