ToLiss has released version 1.3 of their Airbus A340-600 for X-Plane 12, featuring a revamped FMS with SimBrief integration, improved VNAV, and a new fuel planning tool that factors in alternate airports. The update is available now for all owners.
ToLiss has been a stalwart for X-Plane 12 users, and their A340-600 continues to receive significant updates. Version 1.3 brings a comprehensive overhaul of the flight management system, now featuring a more intuitive MCDU interface with better support for RNP AR approaches and advanced VNAV profiles. The new FMS also integrates seamlessly with SimBrief, allowing one-click flight plan import and automatic performance calculation.
One of the most notable additions is the enhanced fuel planning tool, which now includes alternate airport calculations and time-dependent fuel burn predictions. This is particularly useful for long-haul flights, as the A340-600 can fly for up to 15 hours. The update also refines the aircraft’s systems modeling, with more accurate hydraulic and electrical load management.
Visually, the A340-600 has received a new cockpit texture set that improves readability under harsh sunlight, and the wing flex animation has been adjusted to better match real-world behavior. ToLiss has also fixed a long-standing issue with the autothrottle engaging in reverse, which was a bugbear for many users.
We tested the update on a virtual flight from KJFK to EGLL, and the aircraft performed flawlessly, with smooth VNAV descents and accurate fuel predictions. The ToLiss A340-600 remains one of the best long-haul options for X-Plane 12, and this update solidifies its position. Owners can download the update via the ToLiss updater, and new customers can purchase it for $89.00.
