ToLiss has released version 2.0 of its Airbus A340-600 for X-Plane 12, introducing an overhauled FMS with better VNAV, a new EFB with performance calculators, and improved system simulation.
ToLiss has just dropped a substantial update for its popular A340-600 in X-Plane 12. Version 2.0 focuses on refining the flight management and guidance system, which now includes a more accurate implementation of the Airbus FMGS, with improved lateral and vertical navigation logic. The VNAV is now able to handle complex altitude constraints on SIDs and STARs with greater precision, and the FMS has been updated to support the latest AIRAC cycle, including PBN and RNP approaches.
The headline feature is the new Electronic Flight Bag (EFB). This tablet-like interface provides a range of tools, including a takeoff performance calculator that factors in runway condition, temperature, and pressure altitude, plus a landing distance assessment. It also integrates with SimBrief, allowing you to import flight plans and fuel data directly. The EFB is built using the WebFMC framework, so it can be used on a second monitor or a mobile device via a web browser.
Under the hood, ToLiss has refined the hydraulic and electrical systems, with more realistic behavior during failures. The aircraft now also features a more detailed ice detection system, and the flight envelope protection has been tuned to more closely match the real aircraft. This update is free for existing owners and is available now. ToLiss continues to set the standard for Airbus simulation in X-Plane, and this update cements the A340-600 as a top-tier long-hauler.
