PMDG has launched the 737-800BCF expansion for its MSFS 2024 737NG line, introducing animated ULD loading, revised FMC performance profiles, and a bespoke EFB cargo module. The package integrates with SimBrief and Navigraph for end-to-end freight ops.
PMDG has released the 737-800BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter) expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, marking the first dedicated cargo variant in its 737NG family. The package builds on the existing 737-800 airframe with a fully modeled main-deck cargo compartment, animated ULD loading via the EFB, and revised weight-and-balance logic that accounts for pallet positions and tie-down constraints. V-speeds and FMC performance data have been recalculated for the freighter's higher MTOW and different flap schedule.
The FMC now includes a cargo-specific performance page, with takeoff and landing data derived from Boeing's BCF documentation. V1, VR, and V2 are computed with the freighter's actual thrust ratings and brake energy limits, while the FMC's RNP and PBN handling remains unchanged from the passenger variant. The EFB cargo module lets crews build a load sheet, assign ULDs to positions, and export a SimBrief-compatible OFP.
Systems depth is consistent with PMDG's recent NG releases: the hydraulic system models the cargo door actuation, and the electrical load reflects the additional equipment. Navigraph integration supports updated SID/STAR and approach procedures at freight hubs like KMEM, KCVG, and EDDF. The expansion is available now via the PMDG Operations Center, with a bundled price for existing 737-800 owners.
For virtual freight operators on VATSIM and IVAO, the aircraft finally offers a plausible alternative to the 747 and 777F for short- and medium-haul sectors. PMDG has confirmed that the 737-700BCF will follow later this year.
