PMDG has released the 777-300ER for MSFS 2024, following an extensive beta program. The add-on features a full fidelity FMS with PBN support, advanced EFIS, and new wing flex dynamics.
PMDG has officially released its highly anticipated Boeing 777-300ER for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, marking the culmination of a lengthy beta period that involved over 2,000 testers. The add-on brings PMDG's hallmark systems depth to the longest 777 variant, including a fully functional FMS that supports PBN operations, RNP AR approaches, and advanced VNAV profiles.
New to this release is a reworked EFIS suite, with improved terrain mapping and weather radar depiction. The flight deck features a new 3D modeling pass, with sharper textures and better legibility of the displays. PMDG has also implemented a more realistic wing flex model, which reacts dynamically to turbulence and control inputs, visible from both inside and outside the aircraft.
The 777-300ER is available for purchase via the PMDG Operations Center, and it is fully compatible with MSFS 2024's native weather and lighting systems. PMDG has confirmed that the -200LR and freighter variants will follow, as will a suite of liveries from major carriers like Emirates, Qatar Airways, and United. The package includes a comprehensive manual and a set of tutorial flights.
Early feedback from beta testers praises the accuracy of the flight model, especially in the low-speed regime, and the depth of the failures simulation, which includes hydraulic and electrical faults. For virtual pilots operating long-haul flights like KORD-EDDF, the 777-300ER is a new flagship for MSFS 2024, and it sets a high bar for other developers to match.
