PMDG released the 777-300ER into open beta for MSFS 2024, featuring a complete FMC with custom RNAV and RNP AR approaches. The beta also introduces a new EFB that syncs with Navigraph Charts and SimBrief across devices.

PMDG has officially opened the beta for the long-awaited 777-300ER on MSFS 2024, and the initial feedback from testers is overwhelmingly positive. The aircraft features a fully simulated FMC with PMDG's proprietary VNAV logic, supporting CPDLC, RNP AR approaches with RF legs, and a new EFB that pulls live Navigraph Charts and SimBrief data directly into the virtual cockpit. The beta build, version 1.0.0.6, also includes a redesigned overhead panel with functional FADEC test sequences.

Beta testers have praised the 777-300ER's flight dynamics, particularly the pitch response at high Mach numbers and the accurate spoiler scheduling during descent. The model includes the GE90-115B engines with realistic spool-up times and exhaust gas temperature (EGT) management. PMDG says the final release will include full integration with MSFS 2024's new weather system, allowing for realistic wind shear and wake turbulence effects on approach.

The beta is available to all PMDG customers who own the 777-200LR/F and have linked their accounts. PMDG expects the public release in late September, but warns that the beta is feature-complete and only bug fixes will be applied. The 777-300ER will be sold as a separate product, with a discounted upgrade path for existing 777 customers. Navigraph has confirmed that their charts will be fully compatible with the new EFB, providing a seamless transition for airline-oriented simmers.
