PMDG has announced the 777-300ER for MSFS 2024 has entered beta testing, featuring advanced FMS, VNAV/LNAV, and newly integrated EFIS displays. The aircraft is slated for release later this year, with a focus on system depth and performance.

PMDG has officially announced that their highly anticipated Boeing 777-300ER for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has entered the beta testing phase. This follows months of development and community anticipation, building on the success of the 777-200LR/F that has been a mainstay in the virtual skies. The beta build includes a fully functional FMS with custom SID/STAR management, VNAV and LNAV algorithms, and an advanced EFIS suite that integrates closely with the new MSFS 2024 avionics framework.

Robert Randazzo, CEO of PMDG, emphasized the team's commitment to delivering a simulation that accurately replicates the 777's systems, including its sophisticated autoflight and flight management capabilities. Beta testers are currently focusing on validating performance, fuel management, and the behavior of the GE90 engines under various conditions. The 777-300ER is expected to be the definitive long-haul aircraft for the platform, offering a level of depth that serious simmers have come to expect from PMDG.

While an exact release date has not been confirmed, PMDG has indicated that the beta phase is expected to be relatively short, with a target release in Q4 2026. The aircraft will be available through the PMDG Operations Center, and existing customers of the 777-200LR may be eligible for a discount. As with previous releases, PMDG will publish a detailed manual and video tutorials to help users master the aircraft's advanced features.

This announcement is a significant milestone for the MSFS 2024 ecosystem, as PMDG continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in home flight simulation. The 777-300ER is a popular variant among airlines and enthusiasts alike, and its inclusion will undoubtedly be a highlight for long-haul enthusiasts who have been waiting for a high-fidelity addition to their hangar.
