PMDG has announced that its highly anticipated 777-300ER for MSFS 2024 has entered beta testing, with a release expected within weeks. The package will feature a fully simulated FMS, EFB, and advanced fly-by-wire logic.

PMDG has confirmed that its Boeing 777-300ER for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has reached the beta testing phase, signaling an imminent release. The aircraft, which has been in development for over two years, promises to be the most detailed long-haul airliner yet for MSFS 2024. Key features include a fully simulated Flight Management System (FMS) with accurate VNAV and LNAV modes, a realistic Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) with performance calculations, and a complete fly-by-wire system that replicates the 777's C*U control laws. The 3D model and textures are built from laser scans, with every switch and dial functional.

PMDG has also emphasized systems depth: hydraulic and electrical buses are fully modeled, and failures can be triggered via the onboard maintenance computer. The engine model, based on the GE90-115B, includes realistic FADEC behavior and fuel burn. For cockpit builders, PMDG will provide an SDK for hardware integration, including support for Skalarki and CockpitPhD panels.

Beta testers are currently evaluating the aircraft's performance across a range of scenarios, from short hops to ultra-long-haul routes like Singapore (WSSS) to New York (KJFK). A release date has not been set, but PMDG's Robert Randazzo indicated on the company's forums that a launch could occur within four to six weeks. Pricing is expected to be around $139.99, consistent with previous PMDG widebody releases.
