PMDG's highly detailed 777-200ER is now in beta testing, featuring a fully simulated FMS, accurate VNAV, and comprehensive system depth. The release is expected within weeks.
PMDG has announced that its Boeing 777-200ER for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has entered the beta testing phase. The aircraft promises the same level of fidelity as the 737NG series, with a custom FMS that accurately models LNAV, VNAV, and autoland capabilities. It includes realistic engine and hydraulic system simulations, and a complete EFIS with all display modes.
The 777-200ER will feature both GE90 and PW4000 engine options, each with unique performance characteristics and FADEC logic. The flight model has been tuned using real-world data, and the autopilot handles turbulence and wind shear realistically. PMDG also confirmed that the aircraft will support SimBrief integration for flight plan uplink, and will include a detailed EFB with performance calculations.
Beta testers are currently evaluating systems and flight dynamics, with a release expected in late October. Pricing will be announced closer to launch. PMDG plans to follow with the 777-300ER and freighter variants in 2027.
