PMDG has released a comprehensive update for its 737NG lineup, introducing a fully functional Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) and a completely reworked sound environment. The update also includes numerous system refinements and bug fixes.
PMDG has rolled out a significant update for its acclaimed 737NG series (737-600/700/800/900) for MSFS 2020 and 2024. The highlight is the introduction of a fully interactive Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) that replaces the previous static tablet. The new EFB allows pilots to access charts, performance calculations, and takeoff/landing data, and it interfaces directly with the aircraft's FMS for seamless data entry. It also supports Navigraph charts integration, a first for PMDG.
In addition to the EFB, the sound package has been completely overhauled. Recorded from a real 737-800, the new sounds include distinct spool-up characteristics, realistic cockpit ambience, and improved aural warnings. The flight model has also seen minor tweaks to ground handling and trim response.
The update is available now via the PMDG Operations Center. Existing customers can download it for free. PMDG has stated that this update lays the groundwork for future enhancements, including a planned integration with VATSIM's new pilot client. The 737NG remains a staple for serious simmers, and this update ensures it stays at the forefront of the MSFS airliner market.
