PMDG has rolled out a significant update for its 737NG series, enhancing VNAV path computation and adding new failure scenarios for MSFS 2024.
PMDG has released a comprehensive update for its 737NG series (737-600 through 737-900) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The update focuses on refining the VNAV system, with improved path computation during complex arrivals and more accurate speed intervention behavior. The FMS now better handles RNP AR approaches, including radius-to-fix legs and RF leg transitions.
In addition to avionics improvements, the update introduces a new set of failure scenarios, such as hydraulic system leaks and generator failures, which can be triggered randomly or via the instructor panel. The flight model has also been tweaked for more realistic ground handling and crosswind takeoff performance. PMDG has also updated the aircraft to be compatible with the latest MSFS 2024 Sim Update, ensuring no performance regressions.
The update is available now via the PMDG Operations Center. Existing customers can download it free of charge. PMDG has also confirmed that work on the 777 series for MSFS 2024 is progressing well, with an expected release in late 2026. The team is also investigating the possibility of a 737 MAX variant, though no timeline has been announced.
