PMDG has released a substantial update for its 737NG series in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, enhancing the flight model, adding new electronic flight bag (EFB) functionality, and improving system depth. The update aims to leverage the advanced simulation capabilities of the new platform.

PMDG has rolled out a comprehensive update for its Boeing 737NG series (737-700, 737-800, 737-900) in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, marking a significant step forward for the acclaimed airliner add-on. Version 3.0.45 introduces a refined flight model that better utilizes MSFS 2024's improved aerodynamics engine, resulting in more accurate handling during takeoff, climb, and approach phases. Simmers can expect enhanced ground effect simulation and more realistic engine spool-up times.

The update also brings a revamped Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) with new performance calculation tools, including takeoff and landing distance assessments based on real-world data. Additionally, the FMS now supports RNP AR approaches, a welcome addition for pilots flying complex procedures. PMDG has also addressed several community-reported issues, such as autopilot pitch oscillations during turbulence and minor discrepancies in the fuel system logic.

"Our goal is to deliver the most authentic 737 experience possible, and MSFS 2024 provides a robust platform to achieve that," said a PMDG spokesperson. The update is available now via the PMDG Operations Center for existing customers, free of charge. New customers can purchase the 737NG series from the PMDG website or the MSFS Marketplace. This update solidifies PMDG's commitment to supporting the latest simulator while maintaining the high fidelity that serious simmers expect.
