PMDG has rolled out a significant update for its 737-800 add-on, introducing a fully functional Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) and refined VNAV logic. The update also addresses several bugs and enhances compatibility with MSFS 2024.

Precision Manuals Development Group (PMDG) has released a comprehensive update for its Boeing 737-800 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, version 3.2.0. This update brings a host of new features and improvements, most notably the addition of a fully interactive Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) that supports Navigraph charts, performance calculations, and weight & balance. The EFB is accessible via a tablet in the cockpit and can be popped out to a separate window, allowing for seamless integration with flight planning tools.

VNAV logic has been refined to more accurately reflect real-world 737 behavior, particularly during descent and approach phases. The update also includes adjustments to the flight model, improving ground handling and reducing the tendency to float during flare. Simmers will appreciate the enhanced engine model, which now simulates EGT and fuel flow more precisely under varying conditions. Additionally, PMDG has squashed numerous bugs reported by the community, such as incorrect FMC messages and autopilot disconnects in turbulence.

Compatibility with MSFS 2024 has been improved, with optimized textures and better performance in DX12 mode. The update is available now via the PMDG Operations Center. For those who fly online on VATSIM or IVAO, the EFB's integration with SimBrief and Navigraph makes flight planning more efficient than ever. PMDG continues to demonstrate its commitment to realism and customer satisfaction with this release, further solidifying the 737-800 as the go-to airliner for serious simmers.
