PMDG has announced that its highly anticipated 737-800 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has entered beta testing. The team is focusing on refining VNAV path accuracy and LNAV tracking to meet the high standards of the community.

PMDG's 737-800 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has reached a significant milestone, entering beta testing with a select group of external testers. According to a post on the PMDG forums, the beta phase will concentrate on the aircraft's flight management system, particularly VNAV path construction and LNAV tracking accuracy. The team is also validating the aircraft's performance across the entire flight envelope, from takeoff to landing, to ensure it meets the demanding expectations of the community.

The 737-800 for MSFS 2024 builds upon the existing MSFS 2020 version but takes advantage of the new simulator's improved aerodynamics and systems modeling. PMDG has implemented a more detailed electrical system, including accurate load shedding and bus tie logic, and has refined the CFM56-7B engine model for better fuel burn and thrust response. The cockpit features high-resolution textures and a fully functional overhead panel, with every switch and dial operational.

While no release date has been set, PMDG expects the beta to last several weeks, with a potential release in late November or early December. Pricing will be consistent with previous PMDG products, and a discount will be offered to customers who purchased the 737 for MSFS 2020. The developer also confirmed that the 737-900 variant will follow in early 2027.
