Orbx has launched TrueEarth Northern California for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, covering the region from San Francisco to the Oregon border. The scenery includes over 200 custom landmarks, high-resolution aerial imagery, and accurately placed vegetation, enhancing VFR and IFR operations in the area.

Orbx Simulation Systems has released its latest TrueEarth region for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024: Northern California. This expansive scenery package covers the area from San Francisco (KSFO) north to the Oregon border, including major cities like Sacramento, Oakland, and Redding. TrueEarth Northern California leverages the improved rendering engine of MSFS 2024 to deliver stunning visuals, with high-resolution aerial imagery, custom autogen, and over 200 hand-placed landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, the Transamerica Pyramid, and the California State Capitol. The scenery also features accurately modeled vegetation, including the iconic redwood forests, and improved water masking for coastal areas.

For serious simmers, the package enhances both VFR and IFR flying. Pilots can expect accurate runway and taxiway layouts at key airports like KSFO, KOAK, and KSMF, along with custom mesh and landclass that improve terrain representation. The add-on is fully compatible with popular airport sceneries from Flightbeam Studios (KSFO) and FSDreamTeam (KOAK), ensuring a seamless experience. Orbx has also optimized the scenery for performance, utilizing MSFS 2024's new LOD system to maintain high frame rates even in dense urban areas.

TrueEarth Northern California is available now via Orbx Direct and the MSFS Marketplace for $39.99 AUD. Existing owners of the MSFS 2020 version are eligible for a discounted upgrade price. This release marks another milestone in Orbx's commitment to bringing high-quality, immersive scenery to the flight simulation community. Whether you're flying a Cessna 172 on a scenic coastal tour or a PMDG 737 on an IFR approach into KSFO, this scenery adds a new level of realism to the Golden State.
