Orbx's latest TrueEarth package covers southern England and Wales with 60cm-per-pixel aerial imagery, custom 3D landmarks, and enhanced autogen, optimized for MSFS 2024's new rendering engine.

Orbx Simulation Systems has released TrueEarth Great Britain South for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing high-resolution aerial imagery and custom landmarks to the region. The package spans from Cornwall to Norfolk and includes all of Wales, featuring 60cm-per-pixel orthoimagery sourced from recent aerial surveys. Orbx has also hand-placed numerous landmarks, including major cathedrals, castles, and stadiums, and has upgraded autogen buildings to match local architectural styles.

The scenery is fully compatible with MSFS 2024's new photogrammetry and lighting systems, and Orbx claims significant performance optimizations for the updated engine. Key airports like EGLL (Heathrow), EGKK (Gatwick), and EGGW (Luton) are not included as detailed airports but blend seamlessly with default or third-party versions. The package also includes enhanced water masking and night lighting.

TrueEarth Great Britain South is available now from Orbx Direct for $44.95 AUD (approx. $29.95 USD). Existing owners of the MSFS 2020 version are eligible for a discounted upgrade. Orbx has confirmed that TrueEarth Great Britain North and Central will follow in 2027, completing the series for MSFS 2024.
