Orbx Simulation Systems has launched TrueEarth Great Britain Central for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, covering the Midlands and North Wales with 10-meter mesh, custom autogen, and numerous landmarks. The scenery also includes enhanced night lighting and seasonal variations.

Orbx Simulation Systems has expanded its TrueEarth series with the release of Great Britain Central for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This package covers a vast area from the Midlands to the Scottish border, including major cities such as Manchester (EGCC), Birmingham (EGBB), and Liverpool (EGGP). The scenery utilizes a 10-meter mesh derived from LiDAR data, resulting in accurate terrain depiction of the Pennines, Snowdonia, and the Lake District.

In addition to the terrain, Orbx has included custom autogen for urban areas, ensuring that buildings and vegetation closely match real-world footprints. Over 200 landmarks are modeled in high detail, including iconic structures like the Iron Bridge, Blackpool Tower, and the Clifton Suspension Bridge. The package also features enhanced night lighting with realistic light pollution and seasonal texture variations, thanks to MSFS 2024's new material system.

Performance has been optimized for the new simulator, with careful LOD management to maintain smooth frame rates even in dense city centers. Orbx recommends a minimum of 8GB VRAM for optimal experience. TrueEarth Great Britain Central is available now from the Orbx store and requires MSFS 2024. A South edition is expected later this year, completing the coverage of England and Wales.
