Orbx has launched its highly detailed Sydney Cityscape for MSFS 2024, featuring photorealistic textures and custom models for iconic landmarks like the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The package includes optimized performance and dynamic lighting.

Orbx has expanded its Cityscape series with the release of Sydney Cityscape for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This add-on brings the Australian metropolis to life with unprecedented fidelity, featuring custom 3D models for landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and the Royal Botanic Garden. The package covers an extensive area around the CBD and includes hand-placed vegetation and accurate ground textures.

One of the standout features is the implementation of dynamic lighting on key structures, which enhances visibility during night approaches into Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (YSSY). The cityscape also integrates seamlessly with Orbx's existing airport add-ons for the region, ensuring a cohesive visual experience. Performance has been a focus, with LOD optimization and texture streaming designed to minimize impact on system resources.

Orbx has utilized high-resolution aerial imagery combined with GIS data to ensure street-level accuracy, a boon for VFR pilots navigating the city. The package is compatible with both MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020, though some features are enhanced in the newer sim. Available now via Orbx Direct and the in-sim marketplace.

Sydney Cityscape is a testament to Orbx's commitment to quality and sets a benchmark for future city packs.
