Orbx unveils KLAX V2, a complete overhaul of Los Angeles International Airport with photorealistic textures, dynamic lighting, and detailed terminal interiors. This is a must-have for West Coast flyers.
Orbx Simulation Systems has released version 2 of their acclaimed KLAX scenery for MSFS 2024, setting a new standard for airport add-ons. The update features completely rebuilt photorealistic ground textures with accurate markings and weathering, capturing the essence of the world's third-busiest airport. Dynamic lighting has been implemented throughout, including illuminated jet bridges and taxiway edge lights that respond to time of day.
Terminal interiors are now modeled in detail, allowing virtual pilots to explore the bustling concourses with crisp textures. The scenery includes animated jetways and custom ground vehicles that operate in harmony with the sim's ATC. Orbx has also optimized performance, using LOD techniques to maintain high frame rates even in dense traffic.
Integration with MSFS 2024's native features is seamless, with correct runway alignment and SID/STAR data. For those flying long-haul flights into Los Angeles, this scenery enhances the approach experience, especially on the famous ILS approach to Runway 25L. KLAX V2 is available now on Orbx Central, and we highly recommend it for any simmer operating in the Southern California area.
