Orbx's latest US airport brings Portland International to MSFS 2024 with a fully modeled Terminal 6 expansion, accurate PDX runway geometry, and custom ground poly reflecting the airport's ongoing $2.3 billion redevelopment. Includes optional static aircraft and Navigraph-compatible SID/STAR coverage.

Orbx Simulation Systems has released KPDX Portland International for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, a detailed rendition of the Pacific Northwest's primary commercial gateway. The scenery reflects the airport's ongoing $2.3 billion PDX Next redevelopment, including the completed Terminal 6 main terminal, the new Concourse B pier, and the repositioned post-security connector that fundamentally changed passenger flow since 2020.

Runway geometry is modeled to current AIRAC data, covering the 11,000-foot 10R/28L main parallel, the 9,825-foot 10L/28R, and the crosswind 3/21. The scenery includes custom ILS and PAPI placement, accurate taxiway signage, and a ground poly that reproduces the concrete and asphalt surface variation visible in recent satellite imagery. Orbx has also modeled the deicing pads and the FedEx cargo apron on the south side.

Terminal interiors are not the focus here — Orbx has prioritized airside accuracy and frame-rate stability, with LOD optimization tuned for MSFS 2024's new rendering pipeline. Static aircraft are optional via a configurator, and the package includes custom GSX profiles for ground handling. SID and STAR procedures align with Navigraph navdata, so arrivals on the TIMBER4 and departures on the CASCD8 will track correctly in the FMS.

Portland is a key hub for Alaska Airlines and a focus city for Southwest, making KPDX a natural fit for simmers flying 737 and A320 routes across the Pacific Northwest. Orbx's Pacific Northwest region pack remains a strong companion purchase for VFR work in the surrounding Cascades.
