Orbx has released Barcelona Cityscape for MSFS 2024, offering highly detailed buildings and accurate ground textures for the Catalan capital. The add-on covers the entire city including the airport area.
Orbx Simulation Systems has expanded its Cityscape series with the release of Barcelona for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This add-on transforms the default scenery with over 2,000 hand-crafted buildings, including iconic landmarks such as the Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló, and Camp Nou. The city is recreated with accurate architectural styles and rooftop details, making it ideal for low-level VFR flights and helicopter operations.
The package also enhances the ground textures with photorealistic orthoimagery, blended seamlessly with the surrounding terrain. Night lighting has been improved, with realistic ambient occlusion and illuminated windows. The developers have paid special attention to the area around Barcelona-El Prat Airport (LEBL), with improved taxiway markings and airport buildings.
Performance is solid, with LOD optimization ensuring stable frame rates even in dense urban areas. The add-on is available via Orbx Central for $24.99, and it is compatible with both MSFS 2020 and 2024. For those planning to fly approaches into LEBL, the inclusion of the city's landmarks provides excellent visual references during the descent. This is a must-have for fans of Spanish scenery.
