Orbx has unveiled Palm Springs International (KPSP) for MSFS 2024, complete with animated jetbridges and custom ground textures. The scenery includes the iconic Sonny Bono Concourse and surrounding desert terrain.

Orbx Simulation Systems has announced Palm Springs International Airport (KPSP) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing the desert gateway to life with high-fidelity detail. The scenery features a fully modeled Sonny Bono Concourse, animated jetbridges, and custom ground polygons that replicate the airport's unique layout. Orbx has also included the nearby Palm Springs Air Museum, with static warbirds visible from the ramp.

The developer utilized MSFS 2024's improved material system to render realistic desert vegetation and terrain blending, ensuring seamless integration with the default landscape. Performance optimizations include LOD management and texture streaming support. The airport's challenging RNAV (RNP) approaches and proximity to mountainous terrain make it a favorite for simmers seeking technical flying.

KPSP is expected to release in November, priced at AUD 32.95. Orbx has confirmed that owners of the MSFS 2020 version will receive a discounted upgrade. The scenery will also be compatible with the upcoming Drzewiecki Design Southern California pack. Previews are available on the Orbx forums.
