Navigraph has launched the open beta of Charts 9.0, introducing native in-sim panel support for MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 12. The update brings full SID/STAR overlay synchronization, live traffic, and a redesigned route builder with SimBrief uplink.
Navigraph has quietly pushed Charts 9.0 into open beta, and for anyone flying complex IFR profiles in MSFS 2024 or X-Plane 12, this is a substantial release. The headline feature is native in-sim panel integration: the chart viewer now runs as a proper MSFS 2024 panel, meaning you can drag it to a second monitor or pop it out as a standalone window without the old browser-wrapper overhead. X-Plane 12 gets the same treatment via a native Avitab-style plugin.
The route builder has been reworked around SimBrief uplink. You can now import a flight plan and have the SID and STAR automatically highlighted on the enroute chart, with transition altitude and speed restrictions overlaid directly on the procedure. This matters for PBN operations where RNP AR approaches demand precise sequencing — Navigraph says the chart rendering engine now uses the same ARINC 424 data as the FMS, eliminating the occasional disconnect between charted and programmed legs.
Live traffic returns with an improved ADS-B feed, now filtered by altitude band so your ND isn't cluttered at FL350. The airport diagrams have been redrawn with correct taxiway hold-short points and de-icing pad locations, a small detail that matters during winter ops at places like ENGM or CYYZ.
The beta is free for existing Ultimate subscribers. Navigraph hasn't announced a stable release date, but given the pace of the beta cycle, expect a full launch before the end of Q4 2026.
