iniBuilds has released the v2 update for its A320neo in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, introducing a reworked FMS, improved VNAV path tracking, and enhanced hydraulic system logic. The update also brings new CPDLC functionality and refined engine FADEC behavior.
iniBuilds has launched the highly anticipated v2 update for its A320neo in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, addressing long-standing requests from the serious simmer community. The headline feature is a completely rebuilt Flight Management System (FMS) that now more accurately models real-world Airbus logic, including proper handling of SID/STAR transitions, RNP AR approaches, and secondary flight plan management. VNAV path tracking has been tightened, with the aircraft now respecting altitude constraints with greater fidelity, particularly during complex RNAV (RNP) approaches.
Beyond the FMS, iniBuilds has overhauled the hydraulic system, ensuring that the PTU (Power Transfer Unit) and electric pump logic behave as expected during abnormal operations. Engine FADEC behavior has also been refined, with more realistic spool-up times and improved fuel flow modeling. The update introduces CPDLC (Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications) integration with VATSIM, allowing pilots to request clearances via text—a feature that aligns with the growing adoption of digital ATC in the sim community.
Visual enhancements include updated PBR textures for the CFM LEAP-1A engines and a more detailed cockpit with improved wear and tear. The update is available now via the iniBuilds Manager and the MSFS 2024 Marketplace. Existing owners can download it free of charge. iniBuilds has also confirmed that work continues on the A321neo and A330-900, with the latter expected to enter beta later this year. For those flying the A320neo in MSFS 2024, this update represents a significant step toward study-level realism.
