The studio’s latest update to its EGLL scenery introduces a detailed Terminal 5 interior, improved ground textures, and animated jetways. It’s free for existing owners and leverages MSFS 2024’s new lighting engine.
iniBuilds has pushed a significant update to its London Heathrow (EGLL) scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, adding a fully modeled Terminal 5 interior and leveraging the sim’s updated rendering pipeline. The interior includes check-in areas, security lanes, and departure lounges with animated passengers—a first for the developer. The update also refreshes ground textures with higher-resolution PBR materials, adds animated jetways compatible with GSX Pro, and implements the new lighting system for more realistic apron illumination at night.
According to iniBuilds, the update is free for all existing customers and is automatically delivered via the iniManager. “MSFS 2024 gave us the tools to push detail further without sacrificing performance,” said a studio representative. “The new LOD system and improved memory management allowed us to include the Terminal 5 interior without a significant FPS hit.” Early reports from users confirm that performance remains smooth, even with AI traffic enabled.
The update also includes revised taxiway markings and signage to match current charts, and corrects the runway designations for 09L/27R following recent real-world changes. For frequent Heathrow flyers, this update is a welcome refinement. iniBuilds continues to demonstrate its commitment to post-release support, and with the upcoming A350 for MSFS 2024 in development, the studio remains one of the most active in the scene. The update is available now.
