iniBuilds has released a free update to its Los Angeles International (KLAX) scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, introducing a detailed Terminal 4, new RNP approaches to Runway 24R, and improved ground traffic. The update leverages MSFS 2024's new rendering pipeline for higher-fidelity textures and dynamic lighting.

iniBuilds has rolled out a comprehensive free update to its KLAX scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, version 1.2.0. The update focuses on the newly renovated Terminal 4, including accurate gate placements for Delta Air Lines and its partners, and introduces custom RNP approaches to Runway 24R that mirror real-world procedures. Simmers flying complex airliners like the Fenix A320 or PMDG 737 will appreciate the added navigational fidelity, particularly when flying the RNP Z 24R approach with its curved segment.

The update also takes advantage of MSFS 2024's improved rendering engine, with higher-resolution ground textures, dynamic lighting that reflects the terminal's new LED signage, and more realistic ground vehicle traffic. According to iniBuilds, the scenery now includes over 200 custom ground markings and 50 new static aircraft, all optimized for performance. The developer notes that users should see a 10-15% FPS improvement on average due to better LOD management.

For those flying online on VATSIM or IVAO, the updated taxiway signage and improved AFCAD ensure smoother ground operations. The update is available now via the iniBuilds Manager and is free for existing customers. New users can purchase KLAX for $24.99. iniBuilds has also confirmed that a similar update for KLAX is planned for X-Plane 12 later this year, though no release date has been set.

This release underscores iniBuilds' commitment to supporting MSFS 2024 with high-quality, performance-friendly sceneries. As the platform matures, we expect more developers to follow suit with similar enhancements, particularly as Asobo continues to refine the SDK and rendering pipeline.
