iniBuilds reveals its highly anticipated Airbus A350 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, showcasing a detailed cockpit, advanced systems simulation, and planned release in Q2 2027. The aircraft will feature a custom FMS and full fly-by-wire logic.
iniBuilds has officially announced the development of an Airbus A350 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, marking the studio's first foray into the latest generation of Airbus long-haul aircraft. In a developer stream, iniBuilds showcased early renders of the cockpit, highlighting the distinctive six-screen glass cockpit layout and the A350's unique side-stick design. The team confirmed that the aircraft will feature a custom Flight Management System (FMS) with full LNAV/VNAV capabilities, including RNP AR approach support and performance-based navigation (PBN) compliance.
The A350 will also incorporate a sophisticated fly-by-wire system that replicates the aircraft's normal law protections, including bank angle limits and pitch attitude protections. iniBuilds emphasized that the hydraulic and electrical systems will be simulated to a depth suitable for study-level operations, with failures and abnormal procedures modeled. The exterior model is being built using high-resolution photogrammetry, with particular attention to the A350's distinctive winglets and cockpit window shape.
While no release date was given, iniBuilds hinted at a Q2 2027 window, with a beta phase expected in late 2026. The studio also confirmed that the aircraft will be compatible with both MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020, though the 2024 version will leverage the new simulator's improved aerodynamics and ground handling. Pricing and edition details are yet to be announced, but iniBuilds promises a competitive price point. For long-haul enthusiasts, this announcement signals a major addition to the MSFS 2024 lineup, which has been eagerly awaiting a high-fidelity A350.
