iniBuilds has pushed a substantial update to its A350-900 for MSFS 2024, introducing revised FMS lateral and vertical logic, improved fly-by-wire behavior, and a reworked hydraulic system model. The update also adds SimBrief integration and expanded failure scenarios.

iniBuilds has released a major systems update for its Airbus A350-900 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, addressing several areas that the community flagged since launch. The headline change is a rewritten FMS lateral and vertical logic core, which now handles complex RNAV (RNP) approaches with radius-to-fix legs and RF leg sequencing more accurately. The update also improves VNAV path computation during descent, particularly on STARs with multiple altitude constraints.

The fly-by-wire model has been retuned to better reflect the A350's normal law behavior, including roll rate limiting and the transition to alternate law following simulated hydraulic failures. iniBuilds has also expanded the hydraulic system model to include the A350's two independent hydraulic circuits, with realistic fluid loss rates and associated ECAM warnings. The electric braking system and the A350's distinctive taxi-out brake temperature logic are now modeled.

SimBrief integration is now native, allowing flight plans to be imported directly into the MCDU, and the developer has added a set of new failure scenarios accessible through the EFB, including dual hydraulic failure, engine fire, and pressurization faults. Performance on MSFS 2024 has been improved through LOD and texture streaming optimizations, with measurable gains on mid-range GPUs.

The A350-900 remains iniBuilds' most ambitious long-haul product and a strong competitor to FlightFactor's X-Plane 12 A350 and ToLiss's A340. For simmers flying long-haul routes in MSFS 2024, this update substantially closes the gap to the Fenix A320's systems fidelity in the widebody category.
