Honeycomb Aeronautical Unveils Charlie Rudder Pedals with Force Feedback

Honeycomb Aeronautical has announced the Charlie Rudder Pedals, featuring adjustable force feedback and a metal construction. The pedals are designed for both flight simulators and professional training applications.

Honeycomb Aeronautical has taken the wraps off its latest hardware product: the Charlie Rudder Pedals. Unlike their previous Bravo Throttle Quadrant and Alpha Flight Controls, the Charlie pedals incorporate force feedback technology, allowing simmers to feel control surface resistance and even rudder buffet at high angles of attack. The pedals are constructed from a mix of metal and high-strength composites, with adjustable spring tension and damping to simulate different aircraft types.

The force feedback is driven by a custom motor and controlled via a dedicated software suite that integrates with MSFS 2020/2024 and X-Plane 12. The software includes profiles for common aircraft, from the Cessna 172 to the Boeing 737, each with unique force curves. The pedals also feature a toe brake axis with progressive resistance, mimicking hydraulic brake feel. Connectivity is via USB-C, and the unit includes a pass-through for other Honeycomb devices.

Pricing is set at $499.99, with availability expected in Q1 2027. Honeycomb is currently accepting pre-orders on its website. The company states that the Charlie pedals are the result of extensive feedback from the community and professional pilots, aiming to deliver an unprecedented level of realism for desktop simulation.
