The Flight Simulation Expo will return to Europe in 2027, taking place at the RAI Amsterdam. Navigraph has also announced a major SimBrief API update, offering developers deeper integration for flight planning and navdata services.

The Flight Simulation Expo (FSExpo) will be held at the RAI Amsterdam from June 11–13, 2027, marking its return to Europe after several years in the United States. The event will feature exhibits from major developers including PMDG, Fenix, iniBuilds, and Orbx, alongside hardware manufacturers such as Thrustmaster, Honeycomb Aeronautical, and Winctrl (formerly Winwing). Organizers expect over 5,000 attendees and have confirmed a dedicated VATSIM/IVAO area for networked flying demonstrations.

In related news, Navigraph has announced a comprehensive overhaul of the SimBrief API, set to launch in Q1 2027. The new API will offer developers access to real-time navdata, performance calculations, and weather integration, enabling tighter coupling between flight-planning tools and add-on aircraft. The company also confirmed that its Charts app will gain native MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 12 panel integration, allowing in-sim chart display without external windows.

Navigraph's CEO noted that the API update is driven by demand from aircraft developers who want to embed SimBrief functionality directly into FMS units. The API will support both REST and WebSocket interfaces, with sandbox access for developers starting in November 2026. Existing integrations will continue to work, but new features will require the updated API.

FSExpo 2027 tickets go on sale in January, with early-bird pricing for previous attendees. The event will also host the annual FlightSim Community Awards.
