FSDreamTeam (FSDT) has released Miami International Airport (KMIA) for MSFS 2024, featuring detailed terminals, dynamic lighting, and full PBR textures.

FSDreamTeam (FSDT) has released its highly detailed rendition of Miami International Airport (KMIA) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This is no simple port; the developer has rebuilt the airport from the ground up using the new simulator's capabilities, including custom ground handling animations and dynamic lighting that responds to the time of day.

The scenery includes all four terminals (D, E, F, and G) with fully modeled interiors, from the check-in counters to the gate areas. The jetways are animated and feature the iconic 'MIA' branding. Runway and taxiway markings are crisp and accurate, and the airport's extensive apron is populated with realistic static aircraft from American Airlines, LATAM, and other carriers that frequent KMIA.

What sets this release apart is the attention to detail in the surrounding area. The approach to Runway 27L over the Everglades is faithfully reproduced, and the airport's signature 'MIA' sign is visible from the taxiway. PBR textures give surfaces a realistic sheen, especially after a rain shower, and the ground poly blends seamlessly with the default photogrammetry.

Performance is excellent, with frame rates on par with default airports, thanks to LOD optimization. The scenery is available now on the FSDT website for $24.99. For virtual pilots flying into South Florida, this is a must-have.
