Fenix Simulations has released version 2.1 of its A320 for MSFS, introducing a highly detailed IAE V2500 engine model, improved hydraulic system logic, and new failure scenarios. The update also includes performance optimizations and updated EFIS fonts.

Fenix Simulations has rolled out version 2.1 of its acclaimed A320 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, focusing on systems depth and engine fidelity. The standout feature is the new IAE V2500 engine model, which simulates the engine's unique spool-up characteristics and fuel burn more accurately than before. The CFM56 variant remains, but both engines now benefit from improved FADEC logic and more realistic EGT behavior during start and high-power operations.

The hydraulic system has been refined to better replicate the real aircraft's behavior during single-engine taxi and abnormal configurations. New failure scenarios include hydraulic leak and engine fire, with appropriate ECAM warnings and checklist flows. The EFIS fonts have been updated to match the latest Airbus standards, and the FMS now supports RNP AR approaches with radius-to-fix legs.

Performance-wise, the update reduces CPU load through optimized code, resulting in smoother framerates on mid-range systems. The Fenix team also addressed several bugs reported by the community, including autopilot disconnects during turbulence and incorrect V-speed callouts. Version 2.1 is available now as a free update for existing customers via the Fenix Installer.
