Fenix Simulations has announced the A320neo V2 for MSFS 2024, featuring a new FMS with RNP AR capability, a fully functional EFB, and improved engine modeling.
Fenix Simulations has announced that its highly acclaimed A320neo is receiving a major upgrade for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Version 2, as it's called, is not just a compatibility patch; it's a full rework of the aircraft's systems and avionics.
The centerpiece is a new FMS that now supports RNP AR approaches with RF legs, a feature that was notably absent in the original. The FMS also includes a more realistic VNAV algorithm that better manages speed and altitude constraints, and the addition of a full EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) that allows pilots to configure payload, fuel, and performance calculations directly in the cockpit.
Fenix has also refined the engine model for the LEAP-1A and PW1100G powerplants. The new model simulates bleed air extraction more accurately, which affects engine performance and fuel burn. The EICAS displays now show realistic N1 and N2 spool-up rates, and the FADEC logic has been rewritten to match real-world behavior.
Visually, the cockpit and exterior have been updated with higher-resolution textures and better wear effects. The lighting system now dynamically adjusts based on the time of day, and the cabin has been enhanced with more detailed seats and galleys.
The A320neo V2 is expected to be released as a free update for existing owners, with a release date to be announced. Fenix has also confirmed that a version for X-Plane 12 is in development, but it will arrive after the MSFS 2024 version is stable.
