Fenix Simulations has released version 2.1 for its A320ceo, introducing a highly detailed CFM56-5B engine model and numerous fixes for the IAE V2500 variant. The update also includes improved fly-by-wire logic and autoland performance.

Fenix Simulations has rolled out version 2.1 of its A320ceo for Microsoft Flight Simulator, a significant update that focuses on engine fidelity and system depth. The highlight is a completely new CFM56-5B engine model, developed with input from real-world A320 pilots. This includes accurate spool-up times, EGT margins, and fuel flow characteristics. The IAE V2500 variant also receives numerous fixes, including corrected FADEC logic and improved thrust response during flex takeoffs.

The fly-by-wire system has been refined to better simulate the A320's normal law, with adjustments to pitch and roll rate limits, as well as improved alpha protection. Autoland performance has been tuned to match real-world CAT III approaches, with more precise flare and rollout behavior. Additionally, the update addresses several issues reported by the community, such as incorrect MCDU scratchpad behavior and missing ECAM actions.

Fenix has also updated the aircraft to be fully compatible with MSFS 2024, including support for the new ground handling and weather radar. The team notes that the A319 and A321 variants will receive the same engine improvements in a future update. Version 2.1 is available now via the Fenix installer. Existing customers can update for free.
