Fenix Simulations has released a major update for its A320 CEO, introducing realistic engine-out procedures, improved VNAV path accuracy, and enhanced fly-by-wire logic. The update also includes new failure scenarios and a revamped MCDU.
Fenix Simulations has rolled out version 2.0.1.234 for its Airbus A320 CEO, bringing a host of improvements that further close the gap between simulation and reality. The headline feature is the implementation of realistic engine-out procedures, including rudder bias and yaw damper behavior, allowing pilots to practice asymmetric flight with unprecedented fidelity. The fly-by-wire system now accurately models the A320's flight control laws in normal, alternate, and direct law, with proper protections and reversion modes.
VNAV path accuracy has been refined, with the aircraft now adhering more closely to descent path constraints and speed restrictions. The MCDU has been updated to include new pages for engine-out and driftdown calculations, and the performance database now includes more accurate fuel burn figures. Additionally, the update introduces new failure scenarios, such as hydraulic system leaks and electrical bus failures, which can be triggered via the instructor station.
The visual model has also received attention, with improved wing flex and new engine textures. The cockpit now features working sun visors and a more detailed overhead panel. Fenix has also optimized performance, reducing CPU load by 15% in complex sceneries.
The update is available now via the Fenix installer, free for existing customers. Fenix continues to demonstrate its commitment to realism, and this update solidifies the A320 as one of the most advanced airliners in MSFS. For those preparing for type ratings or simply seeking ultimate immersion, the Fenix A320 is an indispensable tool.
