Fenix Simulations has released its highly anticipated A320 Block 2 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, introducing significant upgrades to avionics, flight dynamics, and engine modeling. We examine the new features that bring this simulation closer to reality than ever before.

Fenix Simulations has once again set a new standard for Airbus simulation with the release of the A320 Block 2 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This major update transforms the already impressive A320 into an even more authentic representation of the real aircraft. The Block 2 upgrade includes a completely overhauled flight model that leverages MSFS 2024's advanced aerodynamics, resulting in more precise handling during all phases of flight, from rotation to flare.

The avionics suite has been enhanced with new features such as RNP AR capability, improved FMS performance predictions, and a more accurate autopilot that better mimics the real A320's behavior in turbulence. Engine modeling has also been refined, with updated FADEC logic and more realistic fuel consumption. The cockpit now boasts even higher-resolution textures and improved lighting, making use of MSFS 2024's ray-traced shadows.

Additionally, Fenix has introduced a new performance calculator integrated into the EFB, allowing pilots to compute takeoff and landing data with airline-level precision. The update is available free to existing customers, while new users can purchase the A320 from the Fenix website. With Block 2, Fenix cements its reputation as a leader in high-fidelity airliner simulations. For serious Airbus pilots, this is an essential upgrade.
